Hardiness Zones

I always want to grow something I can't.  Hardiness zones are serious things.  You may think if you live in zone 4 (as we do in NB), you can push the limits by planting something that's hardy only to zone 5.  And indeed it might grow for a few years, and then suddenly: dead!  So, ignoring hardiness zones is at your peril.

Hardiness Zones - NB

In terms of this week's NB 23 assignment, I have followed Vesey's Seeds on Twitter, and posted two tweets: one using the hashtag #nb23, and one a retweet from Vesey's.  I have had a Twitter account for two years now, and I'm pretty comfortable using it.

I've used hootsuite in the past, and found it a useful tool.  I've tried tweetdeck, but didn't use it as often.  Since I don't tend to plan out my tweets, and only tweet personally a few times a week, they're not necessary. They're great for our library's twitter, though!

  1. That is an interesting site. I was sad to see boxwood is way out of our hardiness zone.
If you have a private account I don't think we could see your #nb23 tweet.

    1. I do have a private twitter; I'd forgotten about my settings. I don't think I'll change those for my own, but I am an administrator on the Fredericton Public Library's twitter and have posted quite a bit there. Thanks!
